A question for the next podcast:

Would a FOTA Breakaway series create jobs for some of those that have found themselves redundant from the F1 teams?

Would it create jobs for people from other series of motor sport?

Can I third the .mp3 format.
Same reasons as above. i.e older players (and cheap ones) don’t support mp4.
Good show though, keep it casual and politically incorrect (i.e honest)

Great concept, please have the speakers introduce themselves prior to initially speaking.

Next month, I really would like it if you guys could cover the subject/question:

“Is Grand Prix Racing really reaching it’s core customer base with the current business model?’

I am looking for an emphasis on Bernie as opposed to Max Mosely. My opinion is that Bernie is the problem as opposed to Max.

could i second the mp3 rather than mp4 issue? many older portable players can’t deal with mp4.

for the next podcast, how about something a little different, and the very open topic of woman drivers – there are plenty out there, but every time there is a buzz about a fast lass in F1 it never amounts to anything …. discuss?

Please also provide these podcasts in an MP3 audio format. Not everyone is a lemming to iTunes/Apple and the m4a format.

Just a small point, the audio quality is a bit variable. Better microphone siting next time? Or sit people closer around the microphone. It’s quality editorial just a shame not to get it due to recording issues. Top marks otherwise!

I thought that Fiat thought that was more to be gained by developing Diesels than going the hybrid route? Should Ferrari have faced Mosley down by going to Le Mans even if it was with a Fiat developed Diesel?

Would Ferrari racing a Diesel in LMP help the Fiat/Chrysler bridgehead into the US market?

Dear Nigel,
After Wednesday’s FIA announcement, the talk is continuously about cost-reduction in F1. They say that there’s a will on “cutting back the costs to early-1990s levels in two years”.

What does that mean numerically?
If Toyota and Ferrari are currently spending, let’s say, 400 million Euros per year, will it be halved, or a quarter of this to be spent for 2011?
Put simply, what was Williams’ budget in 1993, or McLaren’s for that matter?

Any ideas for our next one? It’s scheduled for July 27, or perhaps sooner depending on what we’re all doing!

I have been attending Grand Prix since Phil Hill won his world championship. It has until now represented the stage on which vehicle manufacturers demonstrate their ability to improve our road cars. They are the backbone of our sport who should not be dictated to by a perverted fascist lawyer who has defrauded the teams of substantial sums that could have been better deployed within our sport rather than lining his and his little friend’s pockets. The sooner we get a series that can provide a competition between manufacturers with leading edge technology constrained only by their ability, then the sooner we will re-establish grand epreuves for cars and their drivers.

Please do an audio feature on Tommy Byrne. I read his book in a day. Crashed & Byrned. Fantastic read for anyone, motorsports enthusiast or just sports enthusiast. Are there any other stories that are similar? Maybe a feature on the various characters that have been in formula 1. Not the superstars, the also rans. Most are great drivers in their own right, some many be not.
