There were shades in Montoya and Hamilton's first season. For me F1 hasn't been the same since Mansell left and the refuelling nonsense started. One cart race here on an oval he brushed the wall and from the incar camera and sound you see and hear he never let off. Brave hell yes. A great champion. Love him or hate him there are few drivers that could create as much excitement for the race spectator as Nigel Mansell. Watching Nigel wringing the neck of a race car has been an abiding memory of mine for 25 years and it has been a privilege to witness an all time great at work. There have been may great drivers with faults, unfortunately Nigel seems to have his analysed more than most. Give him a break and remember him for what he was, .........one of the greatest racing drivers of all time. I can’t believe there are no comments here.
