Shake-up

Sir,

Being a member of the Spridget-owning elite the following obstructions are at the moment in the way of my motoring pleasure.

( 1 ) Other motorists.

( 2 ) Two-way streets.

( 3 ) Graham Hill’s new-found friends. However, to continue in a more serious vein the most serious obstruction is

( 4 ) The state of the road surface in a number of London Boroughs.

In particular I would like to mention the London Borough of Ealing, which must be one of the leading contenders in the “Let’s Vibrate a Car to Pieces” Championship. Ealing being a part of that highly inefficient and impersonal institution known as the GLC, I feel that it would be a complete and utter waste of time to complain to them.

However, I am hopeful that by arousing the indignation of fellow metropolitan motorists some cog in the bureaucratic machine will get the hint.
