75 years of Le Mans

You could argue, and there are those that do, that far from being the greatest race on earth, the 24-hours of Le Mans isn’t even a race at all. And, for sure, there has been many a tedious procession masquerading as a motor race at the Sarthe. But when Le Mans delivers the goods, it does so like no other. When cars sprint not for a Grand Prix distance, or even 500 Indianapolis-style miles, but for a day and a night without relenting, you have a spectacle without equal in motor racing.
