If you looked at the Formula 1 site during last year’s championship you may have noticed, in between reports of Hamilton either flying to the chequered flag or making a complete meal of things, the Bridgestone e-reporter articles.

The initiative was designed to help talented young writers forge careers in journalism and this year’s competition has only a week left to enter. All you need to do is to be a European student between the ages of 18 and 30 and submit an entry online at www.bridgestone.eu/e-reporter. You can submit your entry in English, Dutch, German, Polish, Spanish or Portuguese and if you’re one of the 11 winners you’ll have the opportunity to attend a round of the Formula 1 World Championship to cover a GP2 race, or a round of the MotoGP Championship.

The closing date is March 31 so if you’re a literary student, put the remote down, leave the packet of cheesy Wotsits on the table and dust off that keyboard…
And if you don’t think it’s worthwhile Guillaume Navarro (with Bruno Senna – top), the 2008 Bridgestone e- reporter winner, is going to be commentating on the Formula One Championship for RMC Sport radio (Radio Monte Carlo) for the full 2009 season.
