When the Silver Arrows dominated F1

From 1935-39 and 1954-55, Mercedes-Benz dominated Grand Prix racing, but since their return as a constructor in 2010, it hasn’t looked quite so effortless.

However, in China this year Nico Rosberg stamped his name in the history books next to the likes of Caracciola, Fangio and Moss, and put the Silver Arrows back in the win column. Ahead of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, this video from CNN takes a look at the illustrious racing history of Mercedes while Rosberg samples Fangio’s W196 from 1955.
