Grand-Am racing was only founded in 1999, but it is the series that hosts America’s answer to the Le Mans 24 Hours. The Daytona 24 Hour race, which has been won by the likes of ex-F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya and four-time IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti, takes place every January and has become a worthy opener to the racing season.
