Honda’s Joey Dunlop celebration

Michael Dunlop has made a fantastic start to his 2013 Isle of Man TT week with three victories from the first three races. His performance has prompted 19-time TT winner John McGuinness to say: “I’ve had my time, I have to hand the baton on”.

The most successful TT rider of all time, though, is the late Joey Dunlop with 26 wins on the island. In celebration of those victories, Honda TT Legends is racing with a special livery this year. The video explains the details, and reminds us all – via some race footage at the end – how breathtaking the TT is.

Brilliant tribute to Joey Dunlop. Terrific to see Honda and McGuinness involved in this project. The heritage of the TT is one of the enduring strengths of the event, I’m so happy I got to see Joey race the TT in 1996, never forget it.

Very nice tribute. Now will McLaren Hondas be red and white in 2015? Seriously though, recall watching Joey Dunlop video from Isle of Man in the 80′s when he described taking ideal line through one section when he scraped helmet on rock walls on either side of the track !!!
