Motor Sport on US Scene

Gordon Kirby started covering Indycar racing, the original Can-Am series, the American Formula 5000 series, the Daytona 500 and the long-distance sports car races at Daytona, Sebring and Watkins Glen in 1973 when he began his work as Autosport‘s American correspondent. Over the years he’s covered more than 650 Indy car races and 35 Daytona 500s. Looking back, he feels lucky and pleased that he was able to cover the final two years of the great Can-Am series and enjoy the rich variety of American racing (The US Scene), changeable as its been, over four decades and more.
