SCOTT MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

An all night Reliability Trial was held by the Club, starting from Barnet. The first competitor left at 7.30 p.m. During the night, meals were arranged at Barton Mills and Stoney Stratford, and a stop was made for breakfast at Henley-on-Thames. Lunch was taken at the Hotel Victoria at Great Bookham, where the final-check was made. The results were as follows :First class awards : B. J. Habgood (3-speed Scott) ; N. Partridge (2-speed Scott) ; L. G. Beckett (2-speed Scott).

SOUTHPORT MOTOR CLUB.

The second beach racing meeting was held on Saturday, March 20th, and some good sport was witnessed. The course was the usual one mile stretch with sharp turns at either end. Several events of one mile length were run, but the real interest centred on the 5o mile solo and the 20 mile sidecar races, in which many well-known riders started, only to retire before the finish. Results were as follows :—

LIVERPOOL MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

This Club held a freak bill climb recently on a grassy slope of varying gradient, the steepest part being i in 3. The star performance was made by Marples (FrancisBarnett), who climbed the hill three times.

The fastest climb was made by J. Frodsham on one of the new sports Rudge Whitworths. Results on time were :—(i) J. Frodsham (Rudge), 28 secs. (2) J. Rodgers (Calthorpe), 341 secs. (3) T. L. Hatch (P. & M.), 391 secs.

YEOVIL MOTOR CLUB.

The Moffat Cup Trial was held recently, twenty competitors starting, and an interesting course included the well-known Peak and Salcombe Hills in the Sidmouth district. A dozen competitors finished, the results being as follows :—

BERKHAMSTEAD AND DISTRICT MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

The Winwood Cup Trial was held over a circuit of 48 miles in Hertfordshire, on March 14th. The course had to be covered once in each direction and besides a few easy hills, a brake test at Aldbury, and a stop and restart test on Waterworks Hill were included. E. G. Tate and G. Hester on o.h.v. Nortons were fast on all hills, while J. Girardot deserves great credit for restarting successfully on Waterworks with a 5 to I low gear on his Rudge-Multi. Result :—
