The West Sussex Drivers’ Club is organising a motor coach trip from Worthing to Silverstone on May 18th, and the Secretary would be pleased to hear from any motorists interested in accompanying them.
 
Tickets, which may be had from K. N. Rudd, Hon. Secretary, Ivy Arch Road, Worthing, will be priced about 17s. 6d., plus admittance charge to be confirmed later.

Alfred Neubauer is behind a Jubilee Rally of the Motor Veterans’ Club scheduled to take place on May 13th-14th in Germany. Members taking part have to arrive at the Benz Monument, Mannheim, between 5 and 6.p.m. on May 13th, where Neubauer and Lang will receive them. On the following day motor and motor-cycle races are to be staged at the Hockenheim Ring for the benefit of the guests. This is a happening that anyone abroad in a Vintage or Edwardian car might like to bear in mind—only no gate-crashing, please.

In order to avoid any possible confusion, it should be pointed out that there is no connection between the Vintage Sports-Car Club, Ltd., and the Club recently formed under the name of the Cornwall Vintage Car Club.

The Alvis Register now contains 149 names. A social gathering will happen at the “Black Horse”, Gomshall, near Dorking, on April 1st, drinking commencing at 7 p.m.

The Veteran Car Club is arranging a Le Touquet Rally from June 20th to July 4th, to meet members of the French and Belgian Veteran Car Clubs and take part in a 1900-1907 costume gala ball at the Casino. Details front Miss Ruxton, 46, North Row, W.1. The Biggleswade Rally is postponed from April 8th to May 7th.

The 750 Club’s new Secretary is: K. Bickle, 4, Pelham Court, Staines, Middlesex. The Committee of this club, which caters for Austin Seven enthusiasts, comprises Messrs. Billingluirst, Brooks, Butler, Hasemer, Moon and Wootton.

Berkhamsted M.C. & C.C. has obtained the use of a ¼-mile sprint course at Welwyn, Herts, approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Welwyn North Station. The first meeting is on Easter Monday, with closed invitation events for cars, and motor-cycles restricted to 10 clubs. The course is said to be safe for high speeds, with a good surface, ample braking space at the finish, and a notable absence of trees, etc., along the verges. Car park and spectator accommodation is very good, and refreshments will be available to competitors and spectators; 500-c.c. racing cars and sports cars will run.
 
Entry fees, at 15s. per class, close on April 3rd or at 20s. by April 5th. Details from: P. Verdier, Canons Field, Welwyn (284), Herts.

The Tenby M.C. Lydstep closed invitation speed hill-climb will be held near Tenby on April 8th, with classes for sports cars and 500-c.c. racing cars. Over a month beforehand 75 entries had come in, including 80 “500s.” Further meetings are scheduled for July 15th and September 16th.

At a general meeting of the Blackpool and Fylcle M.C., members of the club voted unanimously to acquire the premises known as “The Castle” at North Shore, Blackpool. At the meeting the Secretary (Mr. C. Gaulter) reviewed the life of the club over the last three years, and spoke of the increase of club activities both as regards the sport and the social side.
 
When the new premises are furnished and equipped they will include dining rooms, lounge, ballroom, two bars, billiards rooms, ladies’ rooms, sun lounge and tea terrace. It hoped later to be able to provide accommodation for country members visiting Blackpool.

At a highly successful and well-attended Rally of the V.S.C.C. of Australia on January 22nd, the following cars secured awards:
 
Vintage.—1st, W. Chadwick (4 1/2-litre Bentley); 2nd, E. D. Ansell (Vauxhall “50 Bob”); 3rd, R. K. Grant (“23/60” Vauxhall) Modern.—1st, R. Ward (“TC” MG); 2nd, G. Nichol (Jaguar 100); 3rd, D Cook (“TC” MG).

By means of raffles, auctions and subscriptions the N.L.E.C.C. has been able to forward a cheque for £33 to the M.A.C. for the B.R.M. Mobile Workshop Fund.
 
On April 4th, there will be a talk accompanied by photographs shown through an epidiascope given to the club by Mr. R. C. Willis, entitled, “B.M.W.s in Competition.” This takes place at the Essendine Club, Essendine Road, Maida Vale, W.9. at 7.30pm.
 
On April 23rd, a Concours d’Elegance and Pride of Ownership Competition will take place at the “King’s Arms,” Stirling Corner, Barnet-By-Pass. Judging commences at 3 p.m.; there is a tea following this, and in the evening there will be a film show, the films having been kindly lent by Mr. K. E. Carter.

The Bristol M.C. and L.C.C. announces that, as Lulsgate circuit may not be available next year, a two-mile circuit at Castle Coombe is being developed. At first only sports-car races confined to Club members will be held there. It is expected that meetings of this sort will be possible on July 8th and September 2nd this season.

The Morgan Three-Wheeler Club last month elected thirteen new members and has courteously acknowledged two of them as “per Motor Sport.” It would seem that Morgan owners, who do not join are missing something. The Secretary is G. Evans, 19, Chestnut Walk, Worcester.
