Berne revival packed out

An estimated 30,000 spectators watched the second Berne Revival Meeting on June 23/24, run over what remains of the old Bremgarten circuit. Sadly, all the landmarks visible in photographs taken during the 1930s and ’50s have gone. An impressive array of cars gathered, including a Mercedes-Benz W196 for Hans Herrmann to drive. He finished third in the last GP held here (1954) behind Juan Fangio and Froilan Gonzalez.
