Club Affairs, July 1950

The Aston-Martin Owners’ St. John Horsfall Race Meeting happens at Silverstone on July 29th. The V.S.C.C, Lagonda, Bugatti and Bentley Drivers’ Clubs have accepted invitations. The Richard Stallebrass Trophy for the 1949 season has been awarded to D. ElwellSmith.

At a general meeting on June 4th, at the Cullompton Hotel, Cullompton, Devon, a South-Western Section of the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain was formed. A committee was elected consisting of: Chairman, R. Lawson (Bristol): Hon. Secretary and Treasurer. R. Barton (Plymouth); A. F. Gibbs (Haytor, Newton Abbot.), E. Whiteway (Exeter), and H. R. Timmis (Yeovil).
