Corgi manage to come up with some very unusual miniatures, to add to the fascination of collecting them. Their latest models embrace a Toyota 2000 GT measuring 4 in. in length, this Japanese sports car finished in high gloss metallic blue with a moulded white and red interior. Detailed even to a bright red radio aerial, this Toyota is No. 375 in the series and costs 7s. 11d. Then there is a slightly smaller Pininfarina Alfa Romeo P33, as revealed at the Turin Show, another car of futuristic styling, the model being No. 380 and selling for 6s. 11d. Corgi have also introduced a Porsche Carrera 6 with their Whizzwheels, No. 371, at 8s. 6d.

Corgi’s Chevrolet Sting Ray comes in a too startling golden finish (No. 300, 4 in. long, at 10s. 6d.), and they have a Citroen DS truck as used by one Team Manager in the Tour de France cycle race, this one being No. 510, measuring 4 1/2 in., and costing 9s. 6d. complete with figure with megaphone, driver, spare bicycle wheels, etc. Dinky list all their offerings in the motor miniatures field in an illustrated catalogue, price 3d., available from Meccano-Tri-ang shops.—W.
