Barrie 'Whizzo' Williams has been appointed president of the British Motorsport Marshals' Club. He will succeed Stuart Turner at the end of the year and is aiming to put something back into the sport that's given him so much pleasure.

Juha Kankkunen took part in the Otago Historic Rally in New Zealand in May. The four-time world rally champion finished second in an Escort MkII (below).

The 2005 International Historic Motorsport Motorsport Show will again run at Stoneleigh — on February 25-27. Up to 500 exhibitors are expected, with increased hall space being made available. It is hoped that live action will include a rally stage and a special test for cars from the Winter Challenge.

The Tour de Espana has moved forward to October this year to ensure longer and warmer days for the five-day event. The event for pre-1975 cars will take in the Ascari and Jerez circuits.

Visitors to race meetings at Donington can take advantage of a 'Two for One' offer on admission to the Grand Prix Collection. Two adults will be admitted for the price of one on presentation of a race-day ticket. The Collection will remain open later on main race weekends.

The Colin Chapman Way at Brands Hatch has been re-dedicated after the original commemorative sign mysteriously went missing.
