Nearly 15% of the total production of Frazer Nash. (some 70 cars, the great majority chain-driven) will drive the 2500 miles from Brooklands to Bolzano and back from June 9-23, in the third South Tyrol Raid organised by the FN section of the VSCC. The itinerary includes a visit to the Daimler-Benz Museum at Stuttgart and a link-up with the Pirelli Classic Marathon for an ascent of the Stelvio pass. The centenary of the birth of Archie Frazer-Nash is being celebrated this year.

Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, the 750 Motor Club is urging members with video cameras to help compile a comprehensive record of the year’s events for posterity. Meanwhile, its Mallory Park meeting on July 8-9 will be covered by the BBC for use on its Top Gear programme.

Jowett Car Club has its National Weekend at Colchester on May 27-29, so the oldest one-make club meets in Britain’s oldest recorded town. Organising this year’s event is the Club’s East Anglian Section, and everything from flat-twin to Jupiter is welcome.

BMW dealer Sytner of Nottingham sponsored an invitation-only race for Le Mans sports-racing cars of the Forties and Fifties at the Aston Martin Owners Club meeting at Brands Hatch on April 30, with Frank Sytner himself entering his Aston Martin DB3S. Three similar events are planned this year, but the organisers have chosen to promote them as individual races rather than as a championship.

Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club has its Annual Rally at Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire on June 18, giving spectators an excellent opportunity to see large numbers of Royces of all kinds in pristine order.

Wollaton Park is again the venue for the Pre-War Austin Seven Club’s annual Autokarna, at which 500 entrants and 15,000 spectators are expected on Sunday June 4. Admission and parking are free.

AIfa Romeo Owners Club celebrates its Silver Jubilee on National Alfa Day at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, on June 11. All enthusiasts are welcome.

Broadway House in Cheddar, Somerset, is the venue for the Triumph 2000/2500/2.5 Register’s National Weekend gathering on June 9-11.
