BRDC Historics: Kirkistown

Nick Linney scored a double as the BRDC Historic Sports Cars made their debut at the Kirkistown track in Ireland as part of the circuit’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Linney’s Lister ‘Knobbly’ coped well with increasingly wet conditions, while Jac Nelleman extended his championship lead with a brace of class victories in his Lotus 17.

Despite a tangle with the Lotus 11 of Neil Davies in the opening race, Alan Minshaw bounced back to battle hard with Linney in the second race aboard his Maserati Birdcage.
