Button & Co put on a show

The 20th edition of the Autosport International show at Birmingham’s NEC hosted star guests such as current Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, Allan McNish, Martin Brundle, Christian Horner and Sir Stirling Moss.

David Brabham ran his annual charity karting race, for which five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell was race director. This year various drivers including Anthony Davidson, Andy Priaulx and Alex Wurz helped to raise £59,500 for Malaria No More UK, bringing the tally for the last three years up to £151,000. In the Live Arena, Stig Blomqvist got behind the wheel of a Group 4 Audi Sport and stunt driver Terry Grant entertained with his tricks behind the wheel.

The show also hosted the F1 in Schools National Finals, which was won by St John Payne Catholic Comprehensive. The team will now go on to compete in the World Finals.
