Jodie leads the Masterati girls

Salon Privé, the UK’s Luxury Super Car Event and Concours d’Elégance, is now in its fifth year and once again provided the opportunity to see some modern exotica as well as vintage supercars from around the world on July 21-23.

I was invited by Maserati GB to its ‘Ladies Day’ at the Hurlingham Club for an event that helped raise money for the Prince’s Trust, the Rainbow Trust and the Prostate Cancer Research Centre.

Prior to that, Maserati arranged a visit to the new QMS Medicosmetic Spa in London which is owned by Quirina Louwman, who not only specialises in hand massages but also races a 1959 Lotus 15 at events such as the Le Mans Classic.

Back at the Ladies Day, a stunning 1932 Alfa Romeo Monza won the overall best in show, which was fitting as the marque celebrates its 100th anniversary.
