THE R.A.C. GRAND PRIX.

Entries for the Grand Prix of the R.A.C. have now closed at single fees and the following is the complete list of cars and entrants. The race will take place at Brooklands on Saturday, 1st October next, starting at noon.

This is the most representative entry that has been received for any International Race during recent years, the total of sixteen cars covering four different countries and six different makes. France has the strongest entry with nine cars, although at least two will be drived by Englishmen : Italy has three cars, Gt. Britain three, and America one.

The Grand Prix of the R.A.C. is the last of the series of five races constituting the Championship of the World.

The first, the Indianapolis ” 500″ was won by the Duesenberg which is entered for the British race, whilst the remaining three—the French Grand Prix, the Spanish Grand Prix, and the Grand Prix d’Europe, held at Monza, Italy, on Sunday last, were all won by Delage. The winners of all previous Championship races will therefore be seen at Brooklands on 1st October, but.the challenge to Delage—which has so far swept everything before it in the Continental events,—will be the strongest this firm has yet encountered, and a terrific struggle should result.

The drivers of the various cars have not yet all been nominated, but a full list of these, together with other details concerning the race, will be announced later by the R.A.C.

Round the World Rider delayed.

D. R. Hill, who has been attempting to get round the world on an H.R.D. combination in under six months to win a substantial wager, has met with a misfortune. He was going well until a couple of months ago and had reached California. There, however, he was unlucky enough to contract pneumonia, which was so serious that he was delayed in bed at Long Beach for seven weeks. This of course, will make it impossible for him to win his money but if he gets round at all he can well feel satisfied, for although several men have already ridden round the world on motorcycles, Hill is the first man to at tempt it alone and unaided.
