Good service from Lancia

Sir,

I replaced a much loved Lancia Zagato coupe in February 1975 with a Series III Rally coupe preferring it to the similarly priced Beta Coupe.

It has given excellent service, having been maintained by the Lincolnshire main dealer Riccardo Emigliani of Lincoln, from whom it was purchased.

En route to the Morgan Sport’s Car Club dinner in February this year, however, it developed a pronounced transmission whine “on drive” over 50 m.p.h. I checked the transmission oil level and this was normal.

The vehicle was now 2 years old but had only done 14,500 miles.

Messrs. Emigliani arranged that the car be checked by Lancias’ engineer.

I wish to record my thanks to both the main dealer and to Lancia (England) whom I feel have been very fair in replacing the crown wheel and pinion and bearings FOC.
