B.A.R.C. Note.

For repairs to Brooklands Track over i,000 tons of concrete have been used in resurfacing.

The programme of the Motor Race Meeting to be held at Brooklands on Easter Monday next will consist of nine events, viz., four Short Handicaps, four Long Handicaps, and the Private Competitors’ Handicap. This announcement dispels the impression that, owing to the law suit which is now pending, there will be no racing at the Track this year. Until the case has been finally settled racing will continue as before.

The regulations relating to exhausts have been amended for the forthcoming season, and all cars and motor cycles, whether engaged in racing, practising, testing or attempts on record will be required to comply with it. The Brooklands silencer, which was standard last year, has been altered in the light of experience, and, in addition, every exhaust pipe must now be fitted with a fish-tail on the end of the exit pipe, the dimensions varying according to the cubic capacity of the engine. Copies of the new regulation can be obtained from the Brooklands Automobile Racing Club, 83, Pall Mall, London, S.W.
