Miniatures news, December 1966

In time for Christmas, Lesney have their first steerable “Matchbox” miniature, a 2 7/8 in.-long, 65:1 scale replica of Ford Mustang, No. 8 in this famous series, priced at 2s. Other seasonal “Matchbox” models are No. 9, a floatable Bertram 31 cabin cruiser, 3 in. long, also costing 2s., with trailer, and No. 72, a Kaiser Jeep to 63 :1 scale, again available for a modest two bob.  Just the job if you have stockings to fill! Corgi have a model “Batmobile,” which we would rather forget. But if the children insist, it’s No. 267 in the Corgi Toys series.
