Mazda RX 7

Motor Sport had this rotary engined coupe from Japan for the latter half of 1981, during which time it covered some 12,000 trouble free miles. Its sleek external appearance had many, who should have known better, thinking it to be a product of a certain German manufacturer, but the interior trim, considerably improved over the mark one RX 7’s, gave the game away, having an unmistakably Japanese style to it. The specification included a high level of equipment, notable amongst which was an excellent stereo system, but although the finish of the car was up to the standard we have come to expect from Japanese manufacturers, a couple of pieces of interior trim and the interior mirror did manage to come adrift towards the of our period with the car.
