V-to-C Miscellany, January 1995, January 1995

Last October’s “Getting It Right” article has caused a reader to point out errors of our own; Margaret Allen should read Allan and Earl Howe drove an Alfa Romeo in the 1933 not the 1935 TT. An error by the Brooklands Society has also been noted; their greetings car with Roy Nockolds painting of Mays’s ERA and Bira’s Maserati is titled “The Last Race at Brooklands”. But neither drivers nor cars took part in that race, which was won by G L Baker’s Graham Paige. And on p1325 of last month’s issue an OM became a Frazer Nash.

The Red Cross Flying Display is down for July 16, celebrating their 125th anniversary. The new general manager is Jonathan Peel. The Veteran Aeroplane Society continues to publish its excellent magazine, Prop-Swing.
