Sir, You may be interested in the enclosed photographs (one published—ED.) of two 6i-1itre Bentleys owned by Mr. Snow, of the Merville Hotel, Bournemouth, a great enthusiast for anything motoring. One car has a wheelbase of 13 ft. 6 in. and a body built to Mr. Snow’s design by Lee Motors, of Bournemouth. It is a 9-seater, or, alternatively, the rear seat can be removed to give very extensive luggagecarrying capacity. The second car is a “Speed Six” with 11 ft. 9 in. wheelbase, and was acquired by Mr. Snow, adorned with an enormous ambulance body. Much hard work and bad language by Mr. Snow’s head mechanic, Mr. Godwin,

another real enthusiast, resulted in the removal of this veritable hospital on wheels, and a thorough cleaning and reconditioning of the chassis and engine.

It now awaits a similar, but somewhat smaller body to its stable mate. Mr. Snow has decided views on the value of striking cars for hotel work, and intends using the Bentleys for longdistance touring in addition to ordinary hotel work. His personal motor is a very lovely D8 100S Delage cabriolet by Fernandez et Darrun, finished in black and grey.

I should be very grateful for any details of the previous history of these cars. The registration number of the long car is UL4168, and that of the short, AG5757. I am, Yours, etc.,

Poole, Dorset. REGINALD MILES. [This is a truly excellent use for cars which are old as to years, but not as to condition, and we hope the practice will develop.—Eu.] •
