I do not feel your article gives credit to the performance of the Alvis 4.3-litre which you state took 15.3 seconds to accelerate from 0-60 m.p.h., and I give below figures in my possession:
Four-seater sports tourer (34 3/4 cwt.):
1937: 13.8 sec. (maker's specification tables).
1938: 11.9 sec. (Autocar road test).
1939: 11.3 sec. (Motor road test).
Flying quarter-mile 105 m.p.h.
