The driver line-up featured Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll, and they operated with Mercedes power units. The debut season produced a podium for Vettel in Baku, but the team finished seventh in the constructors&#8217; championship.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Aston Martin retained Vettel and Stroll, yielding consistent midfield results, with occasional points and another seventh-place finish overall. The 2023 season marked a breakthrough as double world champion Fernando Alonso joined the team, delivering multiple podiums and helping Aston Martin finish fifth in the championship &#8211; its best result of the rebrand era.<\/p>\n<p>The team sought to build on its momentum in 2024 but faced challenges keeping pace with the front-runners, maintaining a solid presence in the midfield thanks to Alonso&#8217;s experience, securing another fifth in the standings.<\/p>\n<p>The team made headlines in early 2025 by securing legendary designer Adrian Newey. Newey began working at the team\u2019s Silverstone HQ from March 2025, immediately focusing on preparations for the landmark 2026 regulations and helping develop the infrastructure and technical
