1991 was Schumacher’s first big year in Formula 1. Michael Schumacher, then 22 years old and reigning Formula 3 champion, was not actually scheduled to race in F1 that season. Nevertheless, Eddie Jordan was impressed with Michael’s test and he made it into the 7-Up Jordan team for his first race, the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps.
The 1/2 scale miniature helmet is a faithful replica of Michael Schumacher’s driver’s helmet from his first Formula 1 season in 1991. The paintwork combines the design of Schumacher’s main sponsors with the colours of the German flag in black/red/gold.
