One of the first supercharged Bentleys, the Blower was raced by Sir Henry Tim Birkin at Brooklands. After the car survived a fire owing to a cracked exhaust, it became known as the “Brooklands Battleship”.

Description

This resin model is a 1/18th replica of the real Bentley Blower No.1 driven by Sir Henry “Tim” Birkin, complete with an aluminium frame which was covered with a canvas top, making the car very light. During a 500mile race at Brooklands, the light weight car caught fire because of a cracked exhaust, Sir Tim was able to continue the race after putting out the fire. After this the car became known as the Brooklands Battleship.
