Cheltenham-based Bugatti racer Stephen Jewell died following a practice accident during the VSCC\u2019s annual race meeting at Snetterton (see also Simon Arron\u2019s column, p165). The T35B of Jewell (63) was in a collision with another car on the Senna Straight; the Bugatti was sent into the barriers and Jewell was thrown out. He received immediate medical attention before being transported to hospital, but later died from his injuries.
