Graham Scarborough drove a mighty race in David Yates’ brutish Ford Mustang to win the first of the Heritage GT races at Donington Park. Major handling woes in qualifying left Scarborough well down the grid for the sprint race, but he romped up the order and enacted a mighty tussle with GT ace Oliver Bryant’s Morgan before edging ahead on the final lap. “I never thought we’d do that,” admitted the former oval racing star.<\/p>\n

The longer race was run in appalling conditions. Arthur Thurtle and Roger Bennington took the spoils after a solid run in the former’s Chevrolet Camaro.<\/p>\n
