Exmoor Trial

On March 19 the VSCC ran its Exmoor Fringe Trial. There were 43 starters, some sharing cars, and 41 finishers: Gill’s 1925 30/98 and Michelmore’s 1932 Boyd Carpenter A7 retired. There were I 4 hill sections. Two had to be closed late in the afternoon, but that didn’t affect those who had already scored enough points to merit awards. 1 Horsnall’s award for the most meritorious performance went to D Davies’s 1931 12/50 Alvis tourer, while the best showing by a novice was that of J Flann (1928 A7 Chummy). However, top scorer was Barry Clarke (GN/A7), one point ahead of A May (A7). W B
