Gallery: Behind the scenes at JD Classics
It's been some couple of weeks for JD Classics. In the thick of it throughout the Goodwood Revival, and then Chris Ward and Andrew Smith drove the JD-prepared GT40 to victory in the Spa Six Hours just six days later.
In the October issue of the magazine, on sale now, we went behind the scenes at the Maldon workshop.
The cavernous workshop is a hive of activity, according to Richard Heseltine, who visited the workshop
The trip was just before the Goodwood Revival, where JD Classics has enjoyed rich success in recent years
The E-Type was to be driven by Chris Ward and Gordon Shedden in the RAC TT Celebration, and was right in the thick of the action
It's not just racing cars, either
"The E-type has been developed within the regulations, but there is always room for improvement..."
"We're always at some event," says Charlotte Henry, "the guys just get on with it, put in the all-nighters and it always comes together."
The E-type is in fine company, not least the Tipo 33 Stradale
The E-type's not averse to winning, claiming Oldtimer wins, an victories at the Brands Hatch Superprix and at Goodwood
