The wide-open streets adjacent to the port in Buenos Aires were the scene for Temporada races in 1941 and 1947. The Alfa Romeo 308 of José Canziani won the handicap 1941 Buenos Aires Grand Prix. Two races named after Juan and Eva Perón were held six years later with the visiting Luigi Villoresi successful in both when driving Scuderia Ambrosiana’s new Maserati 4CL.
