Omaha Speedway 767

Omaha Speedway

This 1.

This 1.25-mile board track was built by Burt LeBron in time to host the AAA regulars in July 1915. That opening meeting attracted a crowd of 30,000 spectators but the Nebraska winters ravaged the wooden surface. Dangerous holes had appeared by 1917 and, with temprary repairs unsuccessful, Omaha Speedway closed after two years.
