The Austin Motor Co. has introduced a new petrol/diesel cross-country vehicle, in outline somewhat resembling the Land-Rover, which is ten years its senior. This new vehicle, called the Gipsy, features four-wheel-drive and an ingenious system of Flexitor rubber suspension applied to all-round independent suspension. It is, we understand, absolutely untrue that in Solihull staunch Roverites are singing a new version of the old nursery rhyme: ––
“The wise farmer said,
‘I never should
Take my Gipsy
In the wood ‘.”
