The Brooklands Memorial Trophy and the Silverstone Trophy will once again be contested during the coming season.

The Brooklands Memorial Trophy, which is competed for at B.A.R.C. Members’ Meetings throughout the season at Goodwood, will operate under the same rules as last season. The Trophy and a cash prize £75 will be awarded to the member setting up the best aggregate performance during the following meetings: April 25, June 6, July 11, September 5. The award is based on a points-system, 4 points for a first place, 3 for second, 2 for third, and 1 for fourth. In races where there are fewer than seven starters the points will be halved: i.e. first 2 points, second 1-1/2 points, and so on. A prize of £50 is offered for second place and £25 for third place.

The regulations of the Motor Sport Silverstone Trophy have been slightly modified for this season, mainly in regard to clarification of certain rules. The Trophy will be competed for at the following six meetings: Vintage S.C.C., April 11; Eight Clubs, June 6; Motor Cycling Club, June 27; Jaguar D.C. and Bentley D.C., August 1; Peterborough M.C. and Northampton and D.M.C., September 19; North Staffs M.C., October 3.

The organisers will set aside a certain number of handicap races of not less than five laps duration which will be used as qualifying races. The first few finishers in each of these races will be eligible for a race at the end of the programme. The first four drivers in this race will qualify for the Final of the Trophy which will be held at the North Staffs M.C. meeting on October 3. To the winner of this race will go the Motor Sport Silverstone Trophy and £75. Second place man will receive £40 and third man £15. The full regulations will shortly be available from the various organizers.
