Inter-Register Placings: 1st: S.T.D. Register. 1,652 penalties: 2nd. Austin 12/4 Register, 1,666 penalties; 3rd: Alvis 12/50 Register, 1,891 penalties.

The Fiat 1500 cabriolet with the twin overhead camshaft Osca-inspired engine is now fitted with Girling 10 in. disc brakes all round, and the total price has been reduced by £92 to £1,749 5. 11d.

The recently announced S-type Triumph Herald, which has no heater or screen-washers and a modified grille, has been further reduced in price to a total of £648 10s. 10d. This model is also available with heater, demister and screen-washers at a total price of £664 2s. 6d.

A Film Show with a difference is planned by the British Motorsport Association for Tuesday, April 25th, at Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton Hill, London, S.W.2, commencing at 7.30 p.m. In addition to serious films such as “Battle Against Time,” the Nazi propaganda film depicting the successes of Mercedes-Benz and Auto-Union in 1937, B.A.R.C. 1958 and the 1960 International Six-Day Motorcycle Trial, a couple of the older silent comedy films with a motoring flavour will be shown, these being Mack Sennett’s “Lizzies of the Field,” and “Kid Speed” with Oliver Hardy. The first named is a slapstick comedy with the usual frantic car chases and “Kid Speed” is a comedy staged at a banked track in America. Apart from the humorous situations enthusiasts will be able to see a large number of interesting machines from the mid-‘twenties. Tickets, price 5s. each, can be obtained by writing to Mr. S. J. N.
