The Standard Register

July 7, 2014

The Standard Register announces that its annual rally, which this year coincides with the Diamond Jubilee of the Company, takes place on June 22nd. The pre-1940 Triumph O.C. will join in and the venue is the Fletchamstead factory near Coventry, where there will be driving tests in the morning, a run into the country for lunch, a Concours d’Elegance, and interregional S.T.A.A. driving tests in the afternoon, while there will be an exhibition of sixty years of Standard, at the factory. A big assembly of historic Standard and Triumph cars is expected, including Avon Standards, and non-members should contact J. Davy, at Standard-Triumph Sales Ltd., Fletchamstead Highway, Coventry, for details. The Registrar knows of two 1929 Standard Nine Teignmouth saloons and a 1933 Avon-Standard tourer for disposal.
