As our May issue will not be in full circulation until after the B.R.D.C.’s International Formula One Meeting at Silverstone on May 2nd, we take this opportunity to give readers a few brief details of this popular “Midlands Grand Prix.” The programme commences at 10.15 a.m. with a Grand Touring Car Race, and is followed in succession by Unlimited Sports Cars, Production Touring Cars the “Daily Express” Trophy Race for Formula One Cars, add a Formula Three race. In addition a special demonstration is being planned for the interval but at the time of going to press it was not known whether this will take the form of a demonstration drive of a famous racing car of a by-gone era or something else that the wily brains of the B.R.D.C. can think up. Grand Stand seats cost 25s. and 30s., and all-in car ticket covering all the occupants, 30s. or 35s. on the day. Tickets can be obtained in advance from the Booking Office, The Trophy Office, Silverstone Circuit, Nr. Towcester, Northants.
