Praise for the B.M.W. 1800

Sir,
It was interesting reading Mr. Blight’s letter in your March issue. I have owned, at one time or another, a great many cars, both British and of foreign make.

I now have a standard B.M.W. 1800 and can honestly say that I have never driven a better car. Why one wishes a hotted-up version I cannot understand. My car will do 100 m.p.h. quite comfortably and is as steady as a rock in that speed. I have fitted Cinturato tyres and this has greatly improved road-holding in adverse conditions.

Congratulations to W. B. for producing the finest motoring journal.
