IN the course of 90 very interesting “capsule” road tests of the 1973 American cars, Automobile Quarterly remarks that a magazine advertisement which was being prepared for the importer of BMWs contained the words: “There are two luxury cars from Germany, one of them shows how much you make. The other shows how much you know”. This was thought to he a bit too strong and was dropped. But the US magazine remarks that the ownership of a Ford Continental Mark VI “clearly shows how much you don’t know”. . .
