I read with interest the article in the February issue on Ideal Pairs and note that you invite comment from readers. I am fortunate to be able to afford to run two cars. For me motoring has to be enjoyable so each car has to go well. I prefer a “go anywhere” type of vehicle. I spend my holidays and most weekends with a caravan so I want a good towing vehicle. I prefer one vehicle to be shorter than the other so that I don’t have to clear all the junk out of the garage. The car is fun and doesn’t use too much petrol, the big one uses enough for me to be paying more than my share of taxation but has plenty of room for carrying “stuff’ about.
My ideal pair: Range Rover and Ford Escort Mexico.
