Praise for the XJS

Sir,
After being an E-Type owner from 1964-1972 and covering over 300,000 miles of happy motoring, time had come to find a replacement.

One evening, after buying Motor Sport and reading the Road Test on the manual Jaguar XJS, I thought this must be the car for me.

I have now purchased a second-hand XJS and think it is one of the finest and quietest cars I have ever driven. I would like to point out that C.R. gave a true and honest opinion of the motor car in his Road Test. The manual version of the car I now have is smooth and flexible in town traffic and indeed value for money. Although I have had minor teething problems, which incidentally have now been put in order.

I think people must give credit to British Leyland for producing such an excellent car.

Hereford, Don Jesson
