Following discussion of fake vintage and historic cars in Motor Sport, CE Allen, the founder of the Vintage MCC, comments on the subject from the motorcycle angle, in the club journal, which is filled with interesting material. The club now has more than 6,000 members, and membership queries are dealt with on 0272-521568. Its AGM will be held at the National Motor Cycle Museum in Birmingham on April 26.

In vintage years, there used to be a Lagonda Day at Brooklands at which owners could take part in events, following Henly’s idea of an Alvis annual gathering at the Track. It is good to know that a Lagonda Fete is to be held on the Brooklands’ Museum 30-acre site on May 31 this year, and an Alvis Day on September 27.
