McLaren life to be filmed

A feature film is to be made based on the life story of the late Bruce McLaren, with filming set to start early in 2008. 

Barrie Osborne, producer of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ will be the producer of the film. He says the movie will trace the emotional story of McLaren from childhood in New Zealand through to F1 as a driver and manufacturer.

“We have been really pleased with the interest shown so far in this project both in New Zealand and internationally,” says Osborne, who also made ‘The World’s Fastest Indian’. 

The aim is to release the film internationally towards the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009.
