Racing will return to the Chimay street circuit in Belgium this year after local administrative issues were resolved.

The annual Chimay race meeting, which dates back to before the Second World War, was cancelled at short notice last year after wrangles over licences and permits. However, those problems have now been dealt with and all six Top Hat race series will have hour-long races in the 2007 programme on July 14/15. “I’m delighted that we’re going back to Chimay; it’s a wonderful event,” says Top Hat boss Julius Thurgood.
