Obituary

Although he never raced, Alan Putt, who has died after a short illness aged 73, was a key person in the growth of historic motor sport in Europe. He was the original moving force behind the creation of Formula Junior as a historic category and was the man responsible for drafting FIA Appendix K regulations. He gave much to the sport through his work on various committees and played a key part in the introduction
of HVIF papers for historic cars.
