Seconds apart in Daytona 24 finish

July 7, 2014

The Daytona 24 Hours has produced another thrilling finish. The Brumos-run Action Express Riley-Porsche driven by Ryan Dalziel, Mike Rockenfeller, João Barbosa and Terry Borcheller triumphed by just 52 seconds from the second-placed Ganassi Riley-BMW. The balance of the race swung in the penultimate hour when Justin Wilson brought the Ganassi car in for an unscheduled pitstop after hearing a “loud clonk” and feeling the car give “a big wag”. Nothing was found to be amiss, but Ganassi had lost its chance of a fourth Daytona victory.
